Trump "secretly flew out of Turkey on a military plane
*What’s real:*
Yes, multiple outlets including Reuters, AP, Washington Post and Al Jazeera reported this in August 2026.
*What happened:*
- After the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey on July 8, 2026, the White House said Trump was flying out on Air Force One
- In reality, Secret Service moved him via a catering truck to a smaller Air Force C-32A plane while Air Force One took off as a decoy with staff and press onboard
- Reason cited by US media and Trump himself: a credible Iranian assassination threat. Trump later said “I guess there was a threat out there” and that he “just follow what they’d like to do”
- He had flown to Turkey in a new Qatari-donated jet, but switched to an older Air Force One for show, then to the smaller plane
