The "Push Gift" Story
They were young. Both under 28.
Married for 4 years, praying for a child.
Last year, God answered. She got pregnant.
But before the baby came, she had one condition.
*"When I deliver, I want a car. A push gift."*
The husband, a hardworking man, said nothing. He was just grateful she was pregnant after 4 years of waiting.
Delivery day came last month. It was a CS. Complicated. Expensive.
She brought home a baby girl.
3 days after, from the hospital bed she asked again:
*"Where is my car?"*
He looked down. "Babe, I don’t have the money right now. Let’s manage first."
Her face changed.
*"Then I won’t feed the baby."*
The nurses in the ward begged her. Other mothers pleaded. She refused. Formula was bought. She watched.
At home it got worse.
He’d return from work tired, only to meet the baby crying alone in the room.
She wouldn’t breastfeed. She wouldn’t change diapers unless he begged.
Care became a bargaining chip.
One day she packed a small bag and left for her mother’s place.
*"No car, no baby."*
2 days later the baby fell sick. Bad.
He ran to her mother’s house, on his knees.
"Please come back. The baby is dying."
She looked at him and said, Buy the car first.
He borrowed, he pleaded, he broke. But he still couldn’t afford it.
She eventually came back.
But it was too late.
A few days after, the baby girl died. The illness had taken her.
The house went silent.
That night he packed her things.
*"Leave my house."*
The next morning she returned with her mother, crying, begging for forgiveness.
He didn’t shout. He didn’t fight.
He called the police.
Both of them were arrested

There’s also a similar 2018 case from Kenya that people are mixing it with. I don’t have official police confirmation for this specific 2026 case yet.
